The 10 Feng Shui Energy Boosts

Maybe you’re interested in Feng Shui because your home doesn’t look or feel the way you’d like. Or, you may have heard that Feng Shui can help build energy to accomplish a specific objective you might have. Both situations are excellent times to turn to Feng Shui to help enhance your life.

Since Feng Shui is a multi-layered process, suggested adjustments often simplify the process into a single action for a specific result. Place your bed in the Power Position for better sleep or add a faceted crystal to the bathroom for balance are examples.

These are fine actions to take. In fact, I’ve recommended them to all of you in the past.

What if you’ve taken these simple Feng Shui steps and are ready to undertake the next level of Feng Shui understanding? Perhaps your kitchen still feels “off” or the office is uninspiring? Then it may be time to turn to the 10 Feng Shui Energy Boosts.

The Feng Shui Energy Boosts of plants, flowers, color, objects from nature, art & lighting make this potentially neutral white space full of vital Ch’i.

A Feng Shui Energy Boost is a specific item that you personally choose to improve the energy in any area of your home. Although almost any item you love can add positive energy, over time, the ten categories listed below have shown their ability to balance, calm, enrich and improve vital Feng Shui Ch’i energy.

Here’s the low down on selecting Feng Shui Energy Boosts.

When to Use a Feng Shui Energy Boost

We all have a reaction to our environment when entering any space. We love it. We really don’t like it, or we are neutral, even  indifferent. What gives us this reading is our personal energy’s interaction with the energy of the place.

Although this space has nice natural light (a Feng Shui Energy Boost) the overall feeling for me is very low energy.

No two people’s energy fields are the same so our individual reactions to different spaces will vary. What is important is that you pay attention to how YOU are responding, especially in your own home.

You are the barometer, and your own reaction to a space gives you the reading of whether you are supported or depleted by the energy of the space. When something is “off”, whether you feel bored, uninspired, threatened, heavy, rushed, uneasy or any other unsettled feeling, Feng Shui is in order.

Getting the energy in your home to feel good to you is an underlying objective of Feng Shui. When you get your home to that point, the Ch’i is fully on board, working with you to support you in all aspects of your life.

How to Use a Feng Shui Energy Boost

So, you’ve determined that an adjustment needs to be made in some part of your home. You’ve either read about an action that is recommended for a particular situation or an area just doesn’t feel right to you. What now?

Turn to a Feng Shui Energy Boost.

There are times when a wide variety of items will work, other times something specific (such as a faceted crystal or wind chime) may be in order. Several options are available to you but the one overriding consideration is:

Make sure you love the item you choose!

This is when Feng Shui asks you to really hone in and allow your personal style to come through. Expect to enjoy the items you invite to live with you. Express yourself!

In most cases I recommend to my Clients to start with something they already own when determining which Feng Shui Energy Boost they will use for their adjustments.

Rather than run out and buy new pillows or art, move around some of the things you have. A painting of water in the Fame gua (ruled by Fire) may feel totally different when moved to the Career area (ruled by Water).

Experiment! Play with color in a space by finding a towel or other linens and draping them over the back of the couch to see if that color feels better to you. If you love it, then go out and find the throw, art or new pillows for the living room in that color. If you don’t, move on to another option.

To simplify the choices a bit, there are ten categories of Energy Boosts. Here’s a complete list. For many more details on any particular category, each Energy Boost has their own detailed post which you can access by clicking on each individual heading.

Throughout the lists I offer a few recommendations of items I love. Click on their links for additional information. Please be aware of my disclaimer below as I may receive a modest fee if you purchase from that link. This is at no additional cost to you but does  help me fund this website.

Thanks in advance for your support if you find something that appeals to you. Now let’s dig into the possibilities of the Ten Feng Shui Energy Boosts.
